One holiday trend that never really goes out of style is Long Luscious Lashes!
You will see longer and longer lashes, whether they are falsies, extensions or the real deal.
My personal favorite are the falsies- strips to be specific. If you are planning to attend any Holiday parties this winter, be daring! Go out a pick up yourself a pair along with a dark toned eyelash glue to really enhance your eyeliner. If you decide to stick to the ‘au natural’ look; I would recommend first curling your lashes; whether you prefer a heated eye lash curler or a mechanical, the fuller and longer the better!
This will make your eyes really appear bigger and brighter. I have quite a few personal favorite mascaras, but for this look try using a gel mascara this way you can reapply as much as necessary. If not, simply get a lengthening mascara. Jet black, full, long lashes are the way to go this holiday season!Happy Holiday!Senior Makeup ArtistMetamorphosis New York
Smoky eye makeup is one of the hottest Fall/Winter 2011-2012 makeup trends, as usual. The only thing that changes is the eye shadow shade.
We are just drawn to sparkly makeup, and it can be both dramatic and delicate — it all depends on the application. Unfortunately, it’s all too easy to overdo it, so keep classy. Sparkly holiday makeup done right!
Start off by doing your favorite “color” smoky eye. Holidays are all about color and fun times, so let’s step away from the black and grays. I opt for gold and brown, keeping it basic but not too natural.
Start with a primer that will ensure your makeup will last all night. Then, apply the gold shadow on the entire eye lid, leaving the crease for the brown shade – burgundy is a great substitution for the brown if you want more color.
Making sure you have your eyes open, apply your crease color, brown – this will help to create a more beautiful shape, instead of guessing the placement when your eyes are closed.
Apply your highlight color on the brow bone – it’s always a good idea to fill in your eyebrows beforehand so that the eyes are more defined. As we know, blending is the secret of makeup, so now it’s the time to make sure there are no screeching halts between all of the three shades.
A small amount of glitter on the eye lids is all you need to open up and brighten your entire face — don’t extend the sparkles to your brow bone. Using grease paint, which is an oil based cream makeup, apply it on the entire lid where your gold is, this will make the glitter adhere to it. If you don’t have grease paint, use any kind of cream base product like concealer or jumbo pencil. To avoid spillage, use your fingers to place the glitter on the eyelids.
Line the bottom inner rim with a white pencil and the bottom lash line with a brown/black eye shadow. The top lash line with black liquid liner and add tons of mascara on both, top and bottom lashes, for intensity.
And there you have it, your ultimate sparkly smoky eye! To keep it all about the eyes, pair it up with a beautiful soft nude lip or spice up the party with a bold red lip (check out Danielle Nafte’s review on red lips).
This look just seems like it was made to be worn by a fire while opening presents.
All the best

This holiday season , I say do something different and bold…. GO ROYAL !
We have all seen the red lip and and smokey eye , which are still very beautiful and classic. So how about this season , instead of being classic and safe , be bold and royal.
Id like to see more purple , plum , silver , amethest , and rich pink eggplant shades. The purple color family is a very strong royal bold and confident mix. It brings out a fantastic brightness but safe enough to wear in daylight.
Try mixing up silvers and purple shades on the eyes… put the silver in inner corners and blend outwad with purple. Take a rich pink and mix it with a plum shade on the lips to kiss that person under the mistletoe.
This holiday season will be sure to grab attention from anyone when you are a Royal Holiday Diva!
